5am pie

so whenever it was, it happened like this... i was telling myself as i do almost every evening and night lately that i really must find a way to catch the sandman in those fleeting moments he is nearby and dive headlong into his sandbox so that i might get a reasonably deep sleep for a larger portion of the night than the two or three hours i've been averaging and it almost happened when i saw that harpo liked one of my comments so i messaged him an abstract greeting and before i knew it we were out in search of pie... see, he said he had a craving for pie, blieberry pie, to be precise... so we found ourselves at perkins just after 4am or later and i purchase a double fudge chocolate creme pie and he purchases a banana creme pie because he though i liked banana creme pie and he will do anything to please me even though i already bought my own double fudge chocolate creme pie (yes, it was so good i had to repeat it) and we headed back to his place to consume the pie when along the way we saw a wawa and harpo said he had never been in one so we stopped and entered and i walked out with a pepperoni pizza extra cheese extra bacon and he walked out with a mashed potato bowl with a meat gravy and we eventually made it back to his house to eat...

unfortunately his order was missing the meat and my pizza was missing the extra cheese and we learned that middle of the night workers are not to be left to their own devices at wawa, but harpo fixed that by going back the next day and getting the same orders for free after speaking with the manager... he's good at that... and that is the story of the 5am pie run...
