i should be heading to sleep soon, though i went and cooked a hearty dinner that woke me quite a bit... pork cutlet sandwich and baked cheese layered spaghettios... yes, i make a lasagna-like layered pasta side dish with spaghettios, eight different cheeses (at least), and my own special sauce spices and it's delicious... and some yummy little oranges for dessert... hey, gourmet is relative...
watching really bad syfy movies, but i just had to catch the mayan calendar one, 12 disasters of xmas or something like that... it was so poorly acted and so stereotypically written it was nauseating in a really bad movie way... why do people enjoy blatant mediocrity?... heck, why doesn't somebody pay us to produce some lol :)
apparently it's 12/21/12 somewhere in the world and they survived... so far :)

not bad cooking
so i was looking at the kitchen and what was in it and deciding how to cook the cutlets and decided to make a spiced breading using ground flax seed... used some olive oil spray as a coating and to add flavor... and baked on a rack for 35 minutes at 375 degrees and yummy yummy yum... might have gotten away with 30 minutes as they were defrosted from the freezer and a few months in the freezer so they were a bit dryer to start with but juicy to eat cuz i didn't cook too long... and an hour later the muscles felt better, so is that psychological?... salt probably helped first...
glancing up at some sex shows on tv... the station is destination america and the shows are anatomy of sex and sex in america and a few others... a propagation of stereotypes and very sad quasi-science that supports the stereotypes... that's even worse... women want money before sex, men want sex, period... and men are turned on by violence and fear, women the opposite... my reactions are so much more feminine on many levels... and i stay out of those games stereotype mating games...
someday my princess will come and she won't play either :)
late late whatever
sometimes the brain is just itching to write something so clever it would change the world, but then the food's ready (and i don't mean a tallahassee fruit loop) so what can i do other than put aside the keyboard and reach for the food cuz i don't want hot food to get cold cuz it tastes better hot and if i didn't cook it then ignoring it is an insult to the cook and i do not like insulting cooks so by the time the taste buds have orgasmed (and the cook might come along too) whatever clever words were carried away by winds unknown (maybe a secret santa?) and the best we can do is watch half a mechanical man infer that cleaning your chimney is something dirty...
now really, how can cleaning be dirty?... perhaps if you don't do it well... anyway, it is that time of night again, time to sit back and watch craig ferguson mock everything as only a man-child going through some sort of eternal puberty can... i think there should be a contest for the guest who turns reddest while on his show...
oh canada, where art that?

one more night, again
and again, another day, again, another moment, again, one more, again, sorta, kinda, well, continue... variations on a theme called time (that'll be better next time)... and today, work work work and more work, then home to find the maintenence people did not keep their appointment so we locked up the dog for nothing and we'll have to do it again wednesday... poor service is worse at high prices... this place is losing my recommendation today and will have to earn it back...
yummy dinner and then, the end of house or the beginning of a whole new house of healing, relationship, or something like that... am i being obscure enough or can you find the threads?... who's looking, aye?... and now, 24 and it gets pretty radical, which is good...
hope your night is good too :)

faster?
we shall see... the tv is on and i haven't changed the channel yet... i am almost afraid to... i haven't had cable in years and i can get so addicted to the audio-video medium, even the crap (but now i have so much crap to choose from!... yes, i feel like several exclamation points, actually :)
the remote looks like a space ship dashboard... so many channels, there's espn... and all the cartoons... and so many specialty channels... and there it is, channel 69, sci-fi (or syfy... last time i watched it, it was sci-fi... and i am so not caring what they call it cuz it's ON!!! lol lam laa :)
i wonder what's new... at the moment, it's a re-run of stargate: Atlantis that i remember too well to get too excited about... appropriate, cuz if i got any more excited i'd plotz or something...
over-excited, nap time :)

pizza hut and football
being what is commonly called a native new yorker, i've yet to find pizza that matches what i know as pizza, but being that i lived outside of new york and the north east for about half of this life, i've trained my taste buds to enjoy the stuff called pizza outside of nyc... pizza hut is an acquired taste and as long as there's sufficient extra cheese and selected toppings (their meats suck, as do most, but they are better than some other chains)... and they have reasonably ok other foods too, comparable to frozen dinners which i do eat for the same reason i order in, convenience... so anyway...
so i ordered a ton of pizza hut food and turned on the tv to watch football, only to find arizona playing green bay... the teams i want to see are not playing today, except for new england, who lost big and i am not sorry i didn't watch tom brady's worst playoff performance in his career, especially not while eating... i suppose that broken ribs and missing the league's #1 receiver can alter a performance... and i was hoping for a rematch between indy and the jets, but indy will have to beat baltimore and the jets will have to beat ? (west team?... see, i haven't followed football this year) for that to happen... i haven't seen most teams play this year, so i have no idea who is best, but i am rooting for brett farve and drew brees and the jets (old ny roots run deep) and maybe indy...
so two wild card teams advance (i'm gonna look them up now)... ah, san diego, love that city, but i don't think there's any player on the team who appeals to me so they rank #5 or #6 on my rooting list... i pretty much root for players most of the time and brett is trying the biggest leap and doesn't have many more leaps in him, so i am rooting for him first... then would have come brady because i like the way he plays, except today, that is not the way i remember him playing... and then the jets cuz my new york friends will flip and be very happy... and then... it gets closer...
drew brees nudges out payton and old dallas and san diego sentiments for the fourth spot and payton nudges into the fifth spot... it's a tossup for #6 and #7 between dallas and san diego, cuz i love the cities, but am not a fan of any of the players these days... the last four of the ten eams in the playoffs are toss ups for me... green bay would have been ranked higher, but trying to screw brett farve puts them at the bottom of the list... curt warner and beanie wells at arizona help them pop into 8th, but then, cincinnatti has fond memories cuz of friends i knew from there... baltimore, aye, no such connections...
wasn't the healthier eating supposed to start again? :}

new year, football
yeah, the college football is on the tv and i am listening with half an ear and occasionally glancing up to catch a play (or more often a replay) when something sounds interesting (which translates, for me, into a fine example of body control and athletic prowess cuz I admire people who care for their bodies well enough to do things that most dare not even try to do... i used to love to dive for balls and make plays that take the body as far as it can go... and this isn't even a sensual entry, though it might be if we allow for double entendres, aye?... i suppose diving for balls would be double entendred for girls and gay guys, though mentioning it now probably deflates the whole effect of the entendre... deflates, hmmmmm... ah, but in the real, football doesn't turn me on sexually... rarely do any sports cuz sexuality cuz most sports are about control, whereas sex is about letting go of control, quite the opposite... is this another digression?... is that another rhetorical question?... am i in the mood to babble?... are we still in e-the-real?... should this parenthetic aside end?) and challenging to do...
while it's not often in recent years, i do go through phases where some days i just sit back and vege in front of the tv with the keyboard on my lap... but i am not that solitary these days, so even on the laziest days i could always move the keyboard if the right person wanted to sit down...
are we enjoying our new year? :)
after a nap
of almost exactly 4 hours (i wonder if am i the only one with such a precise internal clock or if it is an abnormality of my mind... another explanation for my aloneness, if i was looking for one) and i flip on the tv to listen to and glance up at football games (but find that the news is blaring the usual stories about people who died or got hurt or did other stupid things last night and worse, the top news story is the fox-bright house war... what a culture)...
hope you are healthy, happy, and enjoying the heck out of everything :)

back to relaxing
although i have several hours (at least) of cleaning and laundry and packing to do, definitely more than several hours, i am relaxing and sitting here with a bit of a tv conundrum (cuz the sponteneity of tv programming ads a variation and surprise, yeah, dullness of a life alone sometimes is most evident in front of the tv)... star trek generations is on opposite the sound of music and of course, football... i lean toward football cuz it's the least distracting and i can do other stuff (chores, browse the web, listen to music, write, etc)... but the hills are alive!...
are we having fun yet? :)

alas, locally lacking
for a variety of reasons, mostly lack of time but also lack of desire to waste time or brain cells, i seldom watch tv... i especially get mentally nauseated when i accidentally hear the news and local programming because i find local television lacking in many qualities that are required to attract my attention, qualities?... qualities?... ah, qualities humans are generally lacking and locally, well, it's sadly absent... of course it would be even sadder if i relied on tv for anything real, no less meaningful qualities, but i would like to see at least a modicum of effort to represent those and other good qualities on the supposedly real reality tv like the news... but the newscasters are vultures and they can't seem to hide their excitement about tragedy and disaster and cruelty and human misfortunes...
so i rely on a very few friends for those qualities, but i'd really like say i find them more around here...

home again (diggidy?)
whatever it means, i found the aches from this morning fade away after eating lunch, which was a big pile of raw spinach, a few ounces of black beans and a few ounces of chick peas and four cherry tomatoes and five or six broccoli tops and later in the afternoon, some ice tea (with splenda)... crazy, but the protein drink i found (50 calories, 10 gm protein, 16 ounces) must have rebuilt the muscles that were aching like crazy this morning (omigosh, it's a miracle, i am still getting younger... no wonder i keep giggling)...
i got home from softball about three hours ago (we won, finally, 11-9... i struck out at least six... struck out the side one inning... they still hit well when they were not striking out... we hit well in the first inning scoring 6 (i made the last out with a runner on third, sucks to be me that inning... i drove in the last two runs though with a bases loaded two out single to right, so i made up for the first inning fart... and anyway, i find (getting home) a notice that the fire marshall is due for an inspection on wednesday, so i decided to do two loads of laundry while cleaning and rearranging boxes (sort of unpacking a little_ and wow, there's a lot more room in this place now... a few more hours after the movie tomorrow (yeah, tomorrow night it's a movie with friends) and the place might even look more like an apartment than a storage garage... amazing, huh?... who knows what might come next :)
i should probably sleep now... though craig fergie is on... what is most amazing is i didn't talk myself into eating something... not even a 120 calorie vegetable soup that called out my name when i put yesterday's shopping away... i still didn't have time to shop more today, which might suck because publix (supermarket) had a seriously decent sale on veggies yesterday,.. i'm so not frugal these days... just one more thing somebody can save me from myself about, cha know... i've become so human, aye?...
and yet, i still want you to know (even if i am not exactly sure why all the time)... hope you are enjoying your night :)

clearing the blur
i woke just after 2am to empty the bladder and drink some more water and then again just a few moments ago and for the first few minutes i sat here blinking away the morning blur...
now that my eyes can focus again, it looks like a beautiful morning... i considered leaving a brief note here at 2am, but did not want to wake up that much, i mean, even though i do want to keep in touch as much as possible (which is why i keep coming back to leave these brief snips of the life and times of me as i experience the life and times of me)...
i signed up for hulu last night (here's the wiki story), though i didn't actual download or view or do anything there yet... at my aircard speed, it may not be an easy site to use without a whole lot of patience and time, the latter being in short commodity these days, which shortens the former... but it does seem like an interesting concept, watch your favorite tv shows when you want to watch them... one day, perhaps i'll find the time... and someone to watch with (cuz tv is more fun for me when there is someone to watch with)... meanwhile, my name was already taken, so i did the usual and used candoor...
i hope you enjoyed your night and make today a big smile :)
