more about the stats

that is, about the stats... the google stats provided for blogs here leave much to be desired, for instance, they are rolling stats as opposed to fixed time stats which makes comparison quite futile... in other words, time of day, week, and month plays a huge role... just looking at time of day for the current day, these stats come from the "audience" page and i believe reflect the count of page views over a 24 hour period starting at the time noted and counting back 24 hours...

this is an example of the changes found over the course of just two hours when much of the usa sleeps... it shows a cummulative count of page views adding the newest two hours and deleting the two hours more than 24 hours in the past...		12am				2am

given the state of the stats provided, there is not much that can be garnered or extrapolated beyond the majority of page visit recorded are supposedly from Russia... queue Russian girlfriend joke: must be my irreverence... or my russian girlfriend...
