mid-day update

stopped back home after the first game, which we won, which is a wonderful surprise, actually... jackson helped with a couple of hits and we all hit enough to get 9 runs and i pitched well enough to hold down some good hitters and we fielded well enough to hold them to 7 runs and in spite of a several critical mistakes which made things more challenging and exciting, that still comes out to a win for us... yeah, the rain passed by the third inning... the field was wet, but playable and i was very very careful and did not hurt myself, yay for that... even ran to first about half speed...

we hung out a bit with the team afterward, but had to stop home to let happiness out for a walk so we skipped the barbecue cuz the food was going to take too long and stopped for taco bell on the way back here... yeah, not the diet of champions (at least not the diet of someone trying to drop 20+ pounds), but yummy just the same... happiness enjoyed his walk and we are about to head out to the field for the next game and decided i am going to play (especially cuz they are going to be short players if i do not)... the foot is ok, not great, but still ready for a bit more pushing and testing... and the day is wonderful so far...
