i sent a half dozen emails with photos of the flooding that occurs at our doorstep to the apartment manager in an attempt to support my contention that no increase in rent is beneficial for both of us primarily because I do all the preventative and clean up work myself, including purchasing the equipment and supplies (including regular purchases of outdoor insecticide to keep the pest population from moving in as the flooding makes the front and back areas very appealing to ants, fleas, roaches, spiders, and more unwanted guests... perhaps one day i will recreate the photo essay i sent here in this or another blog (if the attempt to prevent the rent increase is unsuccessful, it belongs in meaningless complaints i suppose, along with apartment review sites and formal governmental regulatory sites all over the web... perhaps even an action reporter or few, but that's getting ahead of ourselves, perhaps... though she already said no to no increase when jackson asked... though jackson did not have the photo essay... time will tell)...
anyway, photo essays are fun, though quite time consuming to do well... and i am reminded of the times in this life i published magazines... The Writer's Exchange had thousands of subscribers... Paper Fantasies had even more... someday I would like to tell you about them... heck, some day i'd like to pull copies of them out of storage...
too many memories... too little time :)
