fantasy sadness

fantasy football, that is... each year you have to make a decision on which teams you want to pull for, not that you have all the players on one team, but generally you have key players from three or four teams, five tops because there are basically four or five key positions you need to do well to win... i chose new england (brady, defense), denver (thomas, decker, mcgehee, tight end), the giants (manning, cruz, bradshaw, defense), and indy (luck, wayne, tight end)... in the initial draft i also had a couple of other players from those teams... i did have key players from other teams (foster from houston, richardson from cleveland, jones-drew from jacksonville, jennings from green bay, witten from dallas and a few others)...

unfortunately, after doing well all season and making the playoffs, my teams collapsed in the playoffs... this week especially, the giants and indy did me in... denver only did eh... and unless new england sets some records (which they did do earlier in the year, but last week when i needed them to for me to get to the finals, they farted), i'm done... i am in the 3rd place game in one league after a horrible week last week... and i am in the semi-finals in the other league... injuries hurt (jennings, mcgahee, jones-drew, a few others)... still, not too bad, finishing no worse than 4th out of 12 teams in both, but 4 points more last week and i'd have been in the final and if the teams didn't fold this week, i'd still have a chance to repeat as champion (won it last year)...
