long day again

was at work before 8am and just settling in at home... did not get all i wanted to do done at work and was sidetracked for the last couple of hours at work by my boss who was home sick for a few days and wanted to do some catching up today but didn't tell me... tomorrow morning i've got the fire marshall inspecting and we will get at least one citation for a fire suppression system over the stove that is poorly put together and needs more work than can be fixed in a week... thew system needs to be rebuild as it is way too close to the stove and has cost a lot of money, like thousands of dollars this year, because it keeps going off bringing the fire department and re-charging charges from the vendor... so many things have not been maintained properly... i fix, yeah...

we ran up to another part of the organization, a camp, where we talked about some team building exercises we will do for my directors to improve their coordination, cooperation, and communication... i had to rush back to get to the softball game on time and after a good first inning we started making mistakes (actually, the first one was a base running blunder that cost us a rally and instead of 5 runs with one out and bases loaded with the top of the order coming back up for the second time, we stopped at five runs... it was all downhill from there as our infield blew too many ground balls and our outfield missed a few catches and our bats just died at the wrong times (three times we had inning ending double plays with bases loaded) and we lost 13-5... some of them just gave up in the last inning and that sucked most cuz it's no fun watching people stand around out of it when we are just 8 runs behind...

and home to eat some frozen mexican food and leftover pizza with the kids (jackson is at sanford's tonight, pushing herself even more in spite of the fact that she is reaching exhaustion that 11 hours sleep doesn't seem to remedy) and happiness and curious are snuggled up with me... curious on the couch and happiness at my feet... happiness gets this way when jackson doesn't come home (as you know if you've been reading a while) and curious just likes to snuggle a lot... and there is football on the tv and fun fun fun in my head, even if nobody is around to share it... alas and sigh and all, ya know? :)

early day tomorrow, so maybe i'll try to sleep six hours for a change... take care of you, rise above anything trying to keep you down, surprise everyone, especially yourself :)
