how many conversations

can i initiate... how many overtures can i send... how many messages can i send out in bottles... until one catches her eye... the one i write for most... how many conversations can i initiate... how many messages can be ignored... how many times can i believe someone is out there... how many times... until i'm bored...

how many tragedies can try to bring us together before we realize we're far apart?... i mean seriously now, how many fears and lies can separate us, before we know we want the same things in our hearts?...

hey, i could ask how many hot dogs can i eat before this whole place smells like...

yeah, serious or silly, happy or sad, i'll just keep smiling at you and hoping you smile back... cuz that's what i do...
