and why are they posting my personal information on the web?... i search the web for my name (that is, one of my names, cuz i have many, especially in this online world) and and up comes this mylife dot come site and i search for other names i've been known by and find even more detailed profiles including where i've lived and friends i've known along the way... it is quite interesting and a bit unpleasant to find personal details on a site i have no access to... and then i signed up and they want money for access...
scam?... legal?... both answers are questionable...
so wtf is mylife.com and why are they posting my personal info on the web?....
i will let you know if i choose to explore further... they have a number to call for information, but i don't feel like spending time with a csr on the phone at the moment, especially not if they are just going to give me a sales pitch or worse, ask me for any personal information over the phone...
it is an amazingly greedy culture we live in these days... sad...

If people had visible signs or meters that told something about them, what would you want it to tell you?

all the previous poll votes were somehow erased, so, nevermind... ironically or coincidentally or whatever, the results were very close in practical numbers to the results above shown with just three votes, if you understand the mathematics behind that extrapolative reasoning... i will probably remove the poll at some point... it is a ridiculously useless feature...
