drowning in junk mail

the email software i use is windows mail basically because it was available on this laptop when i bought it... it's got it's limitations, but works... what is driving me away from email as a communication tool is the ridiculous amount of junk mail i get every time i open the email program... it's reached a point where i do not want to check email and often go weeks between checks... this is not a good way to conduct a job search though, so i must do something to change the existing volume of junk... one way is opening a new account just for job searching, which i did... unfortunately, many of the job search sites provide much of the junk mail, so most sites get my massively spammed email address and only those who directly contact me get my more private address... i suppose i simply need a new email address for public searches that will eventually become overwhelmed by spam, but at least will not start out with more than a decade of spam following it...

i'll consider that in a few weeks when i start looking for work again...
