it's almost time for bed
i'll try for more lyrics next time... dang if i can remember the tune though... hopefully it'll come back to me tomorrow, but it worked great tonight to sing jackson's niece to sleep as she curled up on my lap watching toy story 2 after eating her dinner... being a seriously nocturnal little one, she is all about trying to nap throughout the day and you can just see her gears start turning and energy rise as darkness falls... luckly, being quite nocturnal myself and a bit more experienced, i outfoxed her and she is sleeping sweetly while jackson enjoys a blue moon (irony that there was one up in the sky this weekend, no?) and i enjoy a cherry lime ice (ice, baby) and we sorta get into toy story 2 in spite of my singing and the sound off throughout much of the movie... we will carry her into bed in a few... and except for jackson stepping on a sliver of glass from a pyrex bowl she broke last week in the kitchen moments ago (she shall live), it has been a long hot exhaustingly wonderful day... sigh and all, ya know?...
