on our way home, sort of

well, it is still just a commercial town doing everything in their power to suck every last dollar (or whatever the currency) out of every wallet and purse that gets within a hundred miles of the place, but after more than a year away from any disney property... even downtown disney is a nostalgic trip down memory lane and a wonderful fun time as long as i ignore the extorted commercialism and, given the current state of the world, exploitation and waste... luckily, being away for more than a year, it's easier to ignore...

i bought a bubble gun i probably could have gotten for half the price somewhere else, but it lights up and is very cool... can hardly wait to use it at bath time tonight... jackson both two cool kid's drinking cups that her niece picked out for herself and her little sister (who just turned 2) and we spend an amount i don't want to think about on two bottled waters and a 6 ounce apple juice... at least they were cold and we hydrated, it was extremely hot and sunny... we did use sunblock (the stuff i had stashed in my softball bag, which means i better buy more this week as softball season kicks into gear) and everybody's skin survived without pain... the foot survived too without any support in moccasins, though after a few hours it was started to show signs of stress and fatigue and then i carried our tired three year old from the west side all the way to the car which was in the middle of the east side and that helped distract me from the reminiscing i might have done which is mostly great as the memories are of people i am not longer in touch with but wish i was... and excellent needed exercise... mostly lots of fun stuff for all and i didn't even buy gifts... scary, that... i did spend some money today, scary that too...

we are on our way to jackson's office to drop off some paperwork due tomorrow... hey, it's labor day and some people actually labor... my mission, that i accepted, is to continue keeping the little one awake so she doesn't nap too much so she falls asleep at a reasonable hour (cuz she's nocturnal like me... imagine that, turning on my own kind.. shame, yeah)... gonna do light dinner home (which is fine by me cuz i am very thirsty, but not hungry)...
