and we call it news

news is such a ubiquitous concept poorly conveyed by such an elusive word... or perhaps i mean to say that news is such an elusive concept poorly conveyed by such a ubiquitous word... understanding is such an... yeah, there's a loop and a half for you, but anyway, i've been continuing the saga of exploring the news of the web and i must say, it can be quite depressing... worse still is the news on tv, which is so skewed i find it a waste of time to watch or listen to... majors stories are missing and the worst of humanity is gleefully discussed by smiling faces (albeit adorable faces at times) while tragedy and shock value seem to be the primary criteria for getting a story on air... any wonder why i lose interest in adding my own blah blah blah to the mix?...

so instead of babbling on about life and softball and me, which is why you come here no doubt, i've been wandering the web in search of an honest man, or maybe just to find out what has been happening in the world beyond my daily experiences as i enjoy a very limited life of leisure and poverty (relative, on both accounts) and here is a bit more more more more more more more paranoid much? more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more is it time? more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more more of the reading and watching i've experienced in my head while staring at the computer screen... a random sampling, to be sure, as i forgot where i left off last time and there a likely lots left out and assuredly lots i did not even remember to link as i soaked up the human madness we seem to call news...
