waiting on jackson

it's not fair that a person with as much education and heart has to work as many hours as she does, but that is the life of a therapist intern starting out in this world... much the same can be said for a doctor during internship i suppose... until the is fully licensed and develops her network and learns all the skills it takes to create a private practice (or just gets a good position with a good company), she is doing the grunt work, the first line of therapy, the work many don't want to do... she works with the poor and medicaid and the obscenely rich insurance companies do not pay enough to provide the care people really need... it is shameful in this country that mental health care (and education) are two of the lowest paid professions around... these two professions are so vital to a healthy society... one raises the nation's children... the other saves those losing their way from ending up in hospitals or prisons or cemeteries... it costs upwards of $100,000 and more to get the degrees needed to do these jobs at the least expensive universities, like buying a first house, and for years one struggles to pay off those debts and make ends meet... not fair, not fair at all...

it's 9pm and she's not home yet... her days start at 8am or earlier and she'll have paperwork to do when she finally gets home...

her dinner sits on the stove top...

not fair...

Catch up (and know more)

musical distractions

If people had visible signs or meters that told something about them, what would you want it to tell you?

dumb poll (above), smart responders

all the previous poll votes were somehow erased, so, nevermind... ironically or coincidentally or whatever, the results were very close in practical numbers to the results above shown with just three votes, if you understand the mathematics behind that extrapolative reasoning... i will probably remove the poll at some point... it is a ridiculously useless feature...

SEARCH ME

the thing is, with my tendency to babble and meander and whine and allow distraction to take the lead more often than not, even in this blog that sort of meant to merge brevity with focus like some bloggers do, searching for key words does not always lead to specific information about the subject of that key word... but... here is a start at an easy way to search for key words in this blog... use the search box at the top of the blog to search for words not listed here... if ya wanna, that is... and feel free to suggest words to add to this search shortcut section... click on the words below :)
