the staring

it's barely noon (regardless of what the datestamp might say) and the incredible staring dog is trying to bore into me with his eyes... i suppose it does help him that i am standing and typing and doing laundry and walking around... he obvious thinks the only thing i should be doing when i am not kicked back on the couch is paying undivided attention to him lol... every time i shift my weight or lift a foot he's bouncing up and panting and aiming at the door... i don't get it, really, he doesn't do this when jackson is home, just when we are alone... so i let him out and he peed and i came in and closed the door, but he immediately comes to the door to be let back inside... and i go to the door and open it and he takes off to let me know he wants to stay outside, just not alone... i close the door and go back in and he comes back to the door... after about five minutes i open the door again and he comes in... and he won't stay on the porch without me either... silly dog, he wants more walks, longer walks, endless walks... but five minutes in the 90+ degree heat and he's panting... not to mention his preference to walk on the sizzling concrete and asphalt over the grass... anyway, we are back inside and he's back to staring... silly dog...

i understand though... i'd hate to be a dog without a doggie door...
