a fine day away

slept late and enjoyed the rest, then enjoyed an afternoon thunderstorm... checking the weather radar, the forecast was for clearing so i dressed and headed out for softball... we won, something like 9-4... struck out four or five, maybe more... i went 2 for 3, 3 rbis... maybe four, i actually often do not remember the exact stats and go with the minimum i remember on the conservative side... it was very hot out there... 90 degrees with 70% humidity then it dropped to 80 degrees and 90% humidity... my shirt was soaked just warming up... i perspire a lot... it keeps me cooler... and then home to dinner and the nba finals, game 5... jackson wanted spaghetti and meatballs and cooked spaghetti and made salad... i defrosted the meatballs i cooked last week and made garlic bread... dinner was yummy... i ate a lot...

the game was good... mediocre officiating, but at least it wasn't one sided officiating and as has been the case when the officiating was not one sided, san antonio won... it's predictable that the officiating will be more in miami's favor next game and it is likely miami will win... too predictable for any real sportsmanship, but we've been down that rant a few times already... most fouls are not called, certain fouls are called against certain players at certain moments for whatever reasons... too often that gives the edge to one team over another... sometimes to keep the game closer, sometimes to give one team a win because certain players are the chosen superstars and they will make the nba billions of dollars... it seems it's human nature - corporations just can't help but become corrupt when that much money is involved... sadly, the nba is sports entertainment, not a true sporting event...

relaxing day, fun evening, yummy night, and now, nap time :)
