who's counting?

i must have asked that question in some title in all of the more than 3000 entries, but then who's counting (didn't see that coming, did ya?)... this blog has been around forever, but it didn't write the very first song (not really, it has not been around forever and the very first song was lost in the great flood, or something like that), or actually since may 2008, and last month saw the second largest volume of entries since this blog began... quantity is amassing obviously, but we won't judge quality just now cuz self-judgment is worth little beyond ego (but still nurture ego or it will consume reason, joy, and most of your humanity, i mean, just look a romney)...

ok, a cheap political shot... i will do the same for obama in some future entry, or maybe i just did... or already did, for that matter... i think they should have chocolate available at the polls because voting is traumatic when you have to choose the least repugnant person for the most powerful public job in the world... wait, the title could refer to the corruption in counting votes and election laws and the ridiculous delegate system too... ok, so this political tangent is not just senility or stomping on sour grapes... halloween is coming up soon, after all... or if you are canadian, thanksgiving, but we won't get started on how similar the two holidays actually are just now...

the stats (and elections, for that matter, but stats for here and now) are not just ego food (though ego see blog stats as food, ya see, so feed him, seymour)... no wait, really, there are deeply rooted issues and concerns and other stuff interwoven through the numbers and rhetoric, but (ah, here's the rub) one has to actually care to look beyond the surface, to see the intent and meaning in postures, facial expressions, and words in order to understand the meaning and worth...
