what i have learned in my years alive is that most humans in power will betray innocents in order to gain, maintain, and increase power... but the power they possess is fleeting and tenuous, it is paper power... like the power of the knowledge that the earth is flat... at the time the earth was considered flat beyond question, that was quite nearly absolute power... and at this time in our culture, when money is paper, paper power is quite nearly absolute as well... sad, for instincts to survive then have innocents betraying each other and the to survive, traumas must be buried where they will not rise every day to interfere with survival... some achieve this and hide the fact that they are being eaten alive inside by the buried traumas... some fail and are obvious victims... the best the innocents can do is forgive each other as that soothes trauma, even alleviates most of the harm scars can bring as true forgiveness embraces and literally kisses the scars... but who can forgive that much, really :)
