the belt of many names

so far the business end, that is the company or corporate structure behind the product, is suspiciously american, probably due to legal reasons... specifically, there are several different names for the product and several different websites and toll free numbers connected to the product... additionally, there are typos in the literature that accompanies the product (and i mean the instructions in the box, not the website) and other inaccuracies, including the times and days customer care and technical support are available, lead me to sigh at yet another typical capitalistic money-grab by people who should at least read a business structure and quality assurance book, if not actually have some real education in busniess and customer relations...

meanwhile, i plugged the control module in and it'll take a few hours to charge... i attached the gel pads to the belt and it is supposedly ready to be plugged into the control module and stimulate my muscles... i can see the built-in obsolesence in the belt pads as they are coated with a sticky gel (probably for safety to keep the belt from moving around as much as for good electrical conductivity)... a tube of gel used with ultrasounds and adhesives at other points on the belt would reduce or eliminate the need for purchasing monthly replacement pads (because the sticky gel wears out)... i supposedly have enough pads for five months, so i'll decided whether i want to try to gell route then...

anyway, today, if all goes well, my abs get their first workout with the "ab-belt" "flex-belt" "slendertone" "system-abs" "good-health, inc" (mind you, all of these names are registered, copyrighted, and all that legal jazz) and assorted other names... i'll let you know how it goes in a few hours...
