... well?... do you even know?... i mean, do you take the time to ask yourself that question every day?... and do you take the time to actually answer it?... in depth?... like what, 10%?... 50%?... 80%?... how well do you know yourself, really?...
most people i meet do not know themselves at all, even the ones who think they do... some know themselves and hide so much they confuse themselves and everyone around them... some just avoid themselves as much as possible... do it enough to let that detachment interfere with daily life and you'll get a mental illness label slapped on you... but it's your choice, deep down, you know you choose to answer and know, or ignore and avoid yourself...
not to suggest there are not chemical imbalances that distort the thinking process beyond simple internal thought-decision repair, but which comes first, the deliberate avoidance of maintaining a healthy mind by keeping in touch with yourself every day or the chemical imbalance?... which causes which?...
in my mind, the repeated choice causes the imbalance... i feel depression when i choose to forget how happy i am to be alive too often, when i focus on the missing pieces of life too much, when i detach myself from the positivity and hope inside my head... i feel confused when i stop answering my own questions, or when i lie to myself... i feel helpless when i let go of the ability to answer myself...
that's just me, it might be different for you in your head... which is why i ask :)
