so much irony

so i called and had a pleasant conversation with an assistant to the director who set up a two hour interview with a team for friday... and the irony is the office is less than 5 miles from where i am sitting... where we are moving is 20 miles from the office... 30 miles a day additional travel through downtown traffic means an extra 90-120 minutes a day travel time unless i can have flexible hours (hope hope hope)... it also means an extra gallon of gas a day minimum plus $4 in tolls, so about $8 a day or $176 a month in travel not including car maintenance which will be costly as the car is old and needs work already and so... buy a new car is high on the list of needs if i get this job on a permanent basis... $176 a month would sure go a long way to a car payment, aye?... without the tolls, the time and gas costs increase depending on traffic and lights...

on the positive sides (and the rest of the sides are pretty much all positive, some very), the job will be something i enjoy and can do well and might actually pay a reasonably fair salary for this area... so now the only thing left to do is get the job, aye? :)
