no sleep here

i am lucky i don't have a job at the moment because the neighbors next door are night owls and this must be the universe taunting me because until this week there was no noise coming from their apartment... they were gone for a few weeks apartment... and this week the dog has been barking and howling after midnight on the porch and tonight they are up late talking, guests, perhaps... and this week i decided it was time to turn off the tv and go to sleep before midnight... obviously not happening unless i close the doors and windows and turn on music... that will mean turning on the air conditioner and i don't need the electric bill...

jackson can't hear them because her bedroom is on the other side of the apartment and she sleeps with a fan on... she can't even hear the tv in the living room when it's on... i guess i've been lucky... this is the first time i've had noisy neighbors in the twelve years i've been back down here... and to let a dog bark and howl on a porch this late is ridiculous... against the law, too... anyway, this entry is here to remind me... i shall put up with it because there's no point getting into it when we'll be moving in less than two weeks... still, it is amazing how rude some people can be in apartments...

i pity the next people who live in this apartment...
