did i go to sleep?

no, alas, i am still sitting here... facebook posts lead me to crime statistics and i was sadly reading about how violent this country is... overall, compared to other countries, we are such an immature people, such a violent people... i suppose it is part of the arrogance that lets us justify killing people all over the world in the name of peace and democracy, much like most conqueror nations have done throughout history... and even with freedom of religion, religious pressures help the conquerors sell the killing to those who might not want to actually have such behavior nearby, i mean, most of us would not kill given the choice... like in our own backyard... so much aggression, so little enlightenment, it really is a frightening country when compared to some others... especially when a little awareness is sprinkled into the mind...

and the growing separation of classes does not bode well for the future as a heavily armed people pushed further and further away from the so-called american dream will only go down into hardship and struggle to survive so far before explosions happen... the government and corporations that run this country use the same conqueror mentality on we the people, just with fewer physical weapons... but there have been weapons used... the civil war, prohibition, the 1960s... there are limits to the restrictions a people will accept... and are we to believe the people in power are not prepared for some sort of mass protesting that becomes a more violent rebellion?...

yeah, some numbers i don't like as much as others, but numbers do draw me in... hopefully enough people will wake up to the wrongness of the world conqueror role and change the policies and actions of the government, if we can...
