diet, exercise, pills (pushers)

that's what the medical profession is about and i've certainly found a doctor totally part of that medical industry pushing pills better than any junkie maker on the street... so i've got boxes of free pills and urging to take them and no discussion of the potential side effects at all... how corrupt the physicians have become... deluded into believing the magic pills are the way to fix the body because that is what the insurance company wants, so slap diagnosis labels on as fast as you can so the insurance company will pay and then push the pills as much as possible so the pharmaceutical companies will pay... money makes the world go around... nothing new here, keep moving along...

the madness of it all is that the pill that is supposed to lower blood pressure has a side effect of raising glucose levels so you need a pill that lowers sugar levels and that pill raises cholesterol levels so you need a pill to lower cholesterol levels and that pill (or the combination) destroys your liver and/or kidneys so you need more pills to help your kidneys and liver survive (survive the poison pills by taking more poison pills) and those pills have other side effects (like all the commercials say, tell your doctor if you have thoughts of suicide and so, the cycle continues that puts more and more money into the pockets of the doctors, the insurance company, and the big pharmaceutical companies... oh, and the funeral homes, let's not forget them...

no push for diet or exercise, just a sheet with basic nutrition on it... no incentive to diet or exercise, just take the pills... the more i think about it, the more i want to find another doctor who is not pushing pills... my insurance company will probably not want to pay for me to find another doctor, so i will pay myself...

that's what life's all about...

are you a pill virgin? (does not include temporary pills for stuff like infections, etc.)

and surgeries? are you a surgery virgin?

Surgery virgin, yes. Pill virgin, no. I took blood pressure pills for a few years due to borderline high pressure and the dosage had to keep increasing until it was at the max and the side effects were not healthy and the doctor wanted to give me more pills to offset the side effects and most BP and many other pills are contraindicated by kidney or liver issues and i have kidney issues and my kidney and liver enzymes went into unhealthy ranges while on the pills and when i stopped, the enzyme ranges went back to normal (so no need for the other pills) but my blood pressure went up dramatically and has pretty much stayed there since...

i was healthier before i gave in and went on a pill regime... i also had my first pulled muscles after six months of taking the pills so i could not exercise (which would make me even more dependant on pills) and sure enough, muscle weakness, pain, and the potential for muscle injury is a side effect...

it's a scam, i tell ya! (laughing at myself)... seriously though, there are reasons for pills (like pain), but most pills are pushed by doctors and pharm companies and are prescribed way before needed and insurance companies want diagnoses so it gets easier to be labelled with a diagnosis every year...

i'd rather die of natural causes than from side effects of pills... unfortunately, it is too late for that, but pills just lead to more pill from my experience...

rant much? lol lam :)

Pills. Yes, a strange world to enter. Cost benefit analysis and all that. I guess I've had to come down somewhere in the middle. There have been times in my life when I've been on too many, ending up a toxic waste factory. There have been times I've thrown them all out. With so much chronic painful stuff to manage I'm in the middle range somewhere.

Surgery is another story. Every time I get rearranged or otherwise cut in to I end up with more problems, which leaves me three choices, none of which work for any kind of quality of being. 1. more pills 2. more surgery 3. live with it.

Hug... even in the midst of my dissatisfaction and complaining and blah blah blah, i remember i have a whole lot of goodness like luck and health (mostly) and youth in my mind and wonders and luxuries most people in the world never have... i mean, keyless entry, push button start, 50 inch tv with a gazillion channels, any food i want any time i want, freedoms of choice many never dream of...

it helps me ignore the corruption and greed :}

ok, laughing is not appropriate, but you are almost (nudge) showing your sense of humor (hug though, i know it's not really funny)...

meanwhile, i've still hoping they finish working on the apartment so i can have a bedroom again...

Catch up (and know more)

musical distractions

If people had visible signs or meters that told something about them, what would you want it to tell you?

dumb poll (above), smart responders

all the previous poll votes were somehow erased, so, nevermind... ironically or coincidentally or whatever, the results were very close in practical numbers to the results above shown with just three votes, if you understand the mathematics behind that extrapolative reasoning... i will probably remove the poll at some point... it is a ridiculously useless feature...

SEARCH ME

the thing is, with my tendency to babble and meander and whine and allow distraction to take the lead more often than not, even in this blog that sort of meant to merge brevity with focus like some bloggers do, searching for key words does not always lead to specific information about the subject of that key word... but... here is a start at an easy way to search for key words in this blog... use the search box at the top of the blog to search for words not listed here... if ya wanna, that is... and feel free to suggest words to add to this search shortcut section... click on the words below :)
