don't hold your breath

now you know, if you've been sort of paying attention, that after diving into the job market around here and swimming around a while, i decided to take an extended vacation cuz i haven't had a summer off in more than a decade and i haven't had an actual week off vacation in just as long, which makes this next bit quite coincidental or even an interesting tease from the universe if we choose to believe in some cosmic plan or power... just what could this mean, you might ask... well, just after my tongue-in-cheek facenook post announcing that i decided to take the afternoon off (because all my facebook fans, or friends, just had to know), i get a call for a job interview...

so tomorrow i will actually put on clothes and try to get into some sort of work-mode in my brain and sell myself as well as i can (can't you tell my heart is so really not into this?... oh stop laughing... yeah, so one of the resumes i sent to industry insiders in town... actually, the primary competitor to my previous place appears to have an opening and the boss there called to ask me to come in tomorrow to talk about the risk management department there (apparently they've been reorganizing recently)... so i'm not counting chickens and not holding my breath (you neither), but this may be the start of the end of the great extended vacation of 2012 cuz even if i don't get/take tomorrow's position, i suppose it is time to get back to taking the job search seriously again (what?... who said that?)... jackson is breathing a big sigh of relief...

otherwise, it's been a dull day relaxing vegetating well... did the dishes... took a longish walk with happiness and curled up with him on the couch a bit... watched some bones... ate soup and cheese-shrimp pita for lunch... did i mention that i still want you to visit this entry and give links in it more attention?... i have no clear definitive reason, just this feeling i get when i look to the west, or something like that...
