yes, this is early... i even had time to test drive the toyota prius and the corolla and i liked both cars... is the prius worth an extra $7K?... ok, the numbers... about $30 a month difference in gas... that would make it worth it in about 20 years... so over a 6 year course of a 72 month payment plan, it offsets the extra cost down to about just under $5000... yup, that's right, it's not cost effective to buy the prius over the corolla strictly on gas savings price... the extra thousands are for features and space and style and is that worth the extra $5K?...

so tomorrow i am up to $1400 on the rental, ahem... and i could get a nearly new prius for two thousand less than the new corolla... what about the civic and mazda3 and insight i was gonna look at?... well... my guess is i won't get any of those for less except maybe the mazda and the toyota has so much better reliability ratings than the mazda (which is why they are #1 and #2 on my list)... and so, what to do...

bite into a $350 monthly payment?... it would be easy if i was sure i was only paying half the expenses here... what'll that mean... $1000 rent plus $100 electric plus $130 cable/internet plus $230 phones plus $140 storage plus $120 gas (car) plus (what am i leaving out?... ok, $200 for what i am leaving out) plus $300 to savings plus $200 to health care and that makes... $2420... plus $350 car payment and we're at $2770... i didn't include food, did i?... can i eat?... ain't no doubt about it, gotta keep working and make some bucks, aye?...

tough to think that survival might depend on having a roommate... shhh, life ...
