awake

yeah, so, well, so, aye?... as if magic just comes, wide awake at 4am, the pendulum swings and the world still whirls around... and yeah, while most of the kids took naps, we were playing exploratory games... and the magic was shared and could never be contained again (in spite of the oppressive fear that dominates humanity so severely it puts just about everyone to sleep shortly after early childhood, some even before)... i have closed my eyes a lot, most of the time these days... though i open them a bit and look into others eyes now and then, at work, for instance... and the few one on one conversations i may have during the week with people outside of work, but then, so few maintain eye contact without being paid for it... and even then, most look away when faced with truth... especially truth they do not want to face... i mean, life is a little bit more than a tickle me elmo joke, ya know?... well, it is...

yet still, i am as i am, awake, and find no logic in the fear and therein, it has little or no power over me (and that is how to stay awake... it's really no big secret, it's just knowledge most fear so much they choose to ignore, forget, and/or repress... sad... true... not much i can do... other than enjoy myself and share as much as i can...
