problem solved

and some aspects of the job are the same wherever i do it and this afternoon i interfaced with the popo, or police, who wanted information we are not allowed to share cuz the law protects the patients so diplomacy and smiles and delays and they went away... it's a game we play and no hard feelings, we hope...

and the incident reports flow in, which will take a chunk of my time each day, as expected... today it was just me and my assistant in the office (a suite of offices, actually, at least 20x the size of my previous office, probably more... you could play volleball in the outer office area which is divided by a half wall into two meeting areas and a lunych area with fridge, microwave, fancy coffee maker, and more... then there are six office spaces, three open and three closed, off the big open area... i took a corner open space cuz it is out of view and yet i can still hear anyone coming into the suite... my assistance has the middle open space across from the door to greet anyone coming in... pretty amazing space - and cool assistant... my boss and the other member of our department (yes, from doing everything all by myself with minimal cooperation and much passive aggressive and active undermining in a shoebox space to a department of four with multiple locations and uber space at each location... can the change be any better?... well, yes, if this temporary position becomes full time and i pays more, that would be better, but for as long as it lasts, enjoy and yay! :)
