ok, so jackson did actually wake up wondering if the place was on fire, but that was after the last entry was already uploaded and she went back to sleep so all is still well... gonna have a big air-conditioner bill tonight... actually, cuz we like to open the patio door in the evening for happiness cuz he loves to sit out on the patio so much and we usually forget to turn off the air conditioner when we do that, the bill this month might be scary... gotta remember to turn off the air conditioner if we open the patio... thing is, it's already over 75 degrees most evenings and any week not it'll be over 80 degrees well after dark, so either we'll have to get used to the heat and humidity of central florida without air conditioning or happiness will just have to get out of the patio habit... he doesn't like to be out there with the door shut... these apartments should have optional doggie doors (sure, even the top of the line luxury place we were in last year didn't have that option... wouldn't be so hard, just replace the door)...
more good news is the air conditioner and fan blaring and the doors and windows wide open kept the smoke alarms from sounding the alarms and waking all the neighbors and calling all cars (and the fire department) cuz that would have been kind of awkward... i mean, i don't think i had enough popcorn for all the neighbors...
