good workout today

i finally made an out but otherwise was on base every time today and really felt good at bat (which proves that going to the batting cages makes a world of difference for me)... i was running the bases well in the second league (they like to run for me in the morning league because the team is young, mostly in their twenties, and they are faster than me... thing is they don't know how to run the bases as well and often get thrown out on poor running judgment and not listening to coaches)...

we lost the first game big because it seemed nobody was awake at bat or in the field... bad throws on ground balls and balls popping out of gloves in the outfield and except for my hits batting seventh, nothing going on offensively so we lost 11-1 (i knocked in the only run in the last inning, as i said, i was having a great day which is great for my ego, but i'd rather everybody feel good and everybody else was down on themselves)... the team we played is the best team in the league by far, but still, we could have played much better and been in the game...

we won the second game big, though the other team was mouth and rude and warned by the umpire that if he heard another word from the dugout he would call the game a forfeit which is almost never used but they really were getting out of control... we were ahead 16-4 in the last inning and they started hitting well and came back with eight runs, but we held on and won... most of the team felt much better because more people did better... and winning usually makes everyone feel better... so we are 1-1-1 in this league at the moment, but everybody goes to the playoffs so records don't matter too much...

and the body is ready for food and rest now... feeling great, tired, and a little achy... but great :)
