waking to the stare

a bit dis-settling, but life can be after all... pretty decent sleep on the couch and the reason i choose to sleep on the couch is evidence right in my face the moment i wake for there is happiness staring and waiting for me to wake... even though he is getting out more than usual because i am relatively constantly here, he wanted out again... unfortunately, he must wait for me to find socks and wrap my foot and tie my sneaker just right which tests his patience... sometimes so much so that i've got to back him off just so i can prepare my foot right for a walk... then his habit of bolting out the door unless i am awake and use the leash to tell him not to do it repeatedly is still dangerous (he gave me rope burns more than once and pulled me off my feet once when i was in the boot, now it hurts more cuz there is no boot protection, but that's his habit and at his age it is tough to break... he does listen when i am super-alert and ahead of his bolting)... he was exceptionally hyper on walk but the foot is still not ready to walk at his pace, no less run to get his energy out... bummer... i wish he's stop peeing on his feet, poor old dog... need to wash his paw more often...

meanwhile, laundry continues... up to towels and sheets now... and then, maybe one more load of odds and ends and... work on the room?... not in the mood at the moment but moods change quickly around here and maybe after some food (though not hungry at the moment... never am the first hour or few after waking... we shall see... mind is still a bit tired... foot and achilles sore from yesterdays extra walking, must continue that, carefully... shower, eat, re-awaken, that's the ticket :)
