and then i saw a facebook post on my phone that was kind of a kick in the butt so i woke and laid there for an hour or more and then started working on the job search again... that was just after midnight and at least another dozen resumes went out, several more versions, each with a unique cover letter... so much for taking the summer off intentionally... i mean, what if someone offers me an actual job?... do i take the first available even if it doesn't pay the bills or do i hold out and let an offer pass if it is too low... and why am i not buying lottery tickets?... i mean, just cuz i buy just one a year, if that much, it would really be a good thing to win about now...
as it is, applying for jobs feels kind of like the lottery these days :}

musical distractions
If people had visible signs or meters that told something about them, what would you want it to tell you?
dumb poll (above), smart responders
all the previous poll votes were somehow erased, so, nevermind... ironically or coincidentally or whatever, the results were very close in practical numbers to the results above shown with just three votes, if you understand the mathematics behind that extrapolative reasoning... i will probably remove the poll at some point... it is a ridiculously useless feature...
SEARCH ME
the thing is, with my tendency to babble and meander and whine and allow distraction to take the lead more often than not, even in this blog that sort of meant to merge brevity with focus like some bloggers do, searching for key words does not always lead to specific information about the subject of that key word... but... here is a start at an easy way to search for key words in this blog... use the search box at the top of the blog to search for words not listed here... if ya wanna, that is... and feel free to suggest words to add to this search shortcut section... click on the words below :)
WORK ... JOB ... MUSIC ... LOVE ... SOFTBALL ... KA ... 42 ... LOL ... LAM ... LAA ... ... ... ...

i think you should take whatever offer comes along and then if it's not acceptable you continue your job search while employed. it's much easier to hunt for jobs while having a job than when being unemployed.
good advice, jackson says the same thing and I might do that if something comes along... the challenge then becomes taking time off from the new job to interview for other new job which employers frown on big time in the first few weeks-months... especially jobs that require expensive testing and training in the first few weeks which most of the jobs i am applying for require... some state jobs i am applying for will not even start interviewing until late august... there's no real $ pressure until later in the year, so most of me is savoring the time off (since i haven't had time off like this in more than eleven years)... on the other hand, since i've had no offers, the decision has not been made and it'll really depend on the job... so far all i've been offered is scams and education, reminding me how much i do not like people in this modern culture... staying positive though, after venting in words :)
i appreciate you :)
