still at it (laundry)

yes, many loads later, the laundry continues... hours of washing clothes, but one thing i've always wondered is how much of it is a waste of time... like, is it really necessary to spend an hour folding clothes?... and how about time spent ironing?... i remember back to toronto when i folded the kids clothes and it felt like an act of love because the world wanted to see the kids in neatly folded well pressed clothes and the kids wanted the world to see them in the same and yet, was that just teaching the kids to conform to yet another superficial time-wasting activity?...

yeah, ok, anyway, more laundry gets done, the pastrami was beyond delicious, amazing, actually, i'd forgotten what freshly cooked new york pastrami tastes like and the last knish, sheesh, i'd forgotten how much i love new york deli... i could easily ramble on for hours in nostalgic taste bud triggered memory babble...

everything else is fun... jackson got home from her weekend away with family and happiness was his usual hyper-excited self and the tv did it's thing in the background and most of the dishes got done (though many remain on the counter cuz putting them away just didn't squeeze into the evening and while i'd like to finish the laundry, i so want sleep...
