and there he sits, directly in my sight-line, begging for attention, begging to go outside, begging for food, begging... staring as if his staring will distract me from whatever i am doing and convince me to stop what i am doing and make him my whole world... and sometimes it does... but he wants it all the time... and because it works when it is time to go out he gets inconsistent reinforcement which teaches him to sit in my line-of-sight and wait because sooner or later i will give him the attention he seeks...
ummmm, who's life is this anyway? :)

If people had visible signs or meters that told something about them, what would you want it to tell you?
