wonderful night

yeah, in spite of the heavy wet blanket of loneliness and the prospect of being jobless again in a few weeks and the lack of meaningful intimate comfort and compassion and caring in the physical world and the absence of my roommate lately and the responsibility of her four legged child and the sick political soci-economic nightmarish hole our culture is falling into, tonight was wonderful on the surface and a wonderful surface can make for a wonderful night as long as i stay on the surface and since most of our culture and daily lives are lived on the surface, i fit right in and have all the fun the surface can bring... and the softball was so much fun...

did i mention i went 2 for 2 in the first game (co-ed), scoring from first and from second each time?... we lost cuz fielding was poor and nobody else was hitting much... and in the second game i went three for three (against the men from the same team we played earlier) in the second game scoring two out of the three times (would have scored the third time but the base coach sent me home when i really had no chance to score... hey, nobody's perfect and a runner's job is to listen to the coach)... the second game was a come back win as the first team took a 4-0 lead in the first inning and we went into the last inning tied 5-5 and we busted it open in the last inning to take a 13-5 lead and we held them to win 13-5...
