in spite of the fatigue (did not cut back on the coffee today, alas), much accomplished and more reports reviewed with my boss who appreciates what i can do and remains torn between letting me go and moving ahead with her original plan (the person i am filling in for is due to finally show up in december)...
reconnected with a couple of old friends/colleagues on the job today to much success and avoided an investigation based on good quick research of a 2009 case and professional respect from the investigator who took my findings over the phone and is going with them in his report... it's good to be connected at the ground floor level... just need to find one of my penthouse connections with a job opening soon :)
and so, hi ho, and home :)
