tv sucks

i mean, that is a way-too-broad generalization (not to mention way too cool a sentiment), but in general, a medium designed by corporate america to sell product and support corporate profiteering is not my cup of tea... there are some shows worth watching, some i loved watching in the past (snl for instance, but not today... today i use the tube for escapism into paranoid sci-fi fare (because there is so little non-paranoid sci-fi or any fare in our culture these days) and hope for a moment of stimulation or inspiration, though those are fewer and far between the longer this body wanders this planet... especially on the tv... i am not sure about the movies, i haven't seen one in ages... and music, well, i lost track of music long ago... bye bye miss american pie, ya know?... toronto knows...

i'll write this entry some time tomorrow night after channel surfing and checking out the new snl... wish i knew now what i'll know then, i wouldn't have wasted the time... found this though, so whatever... meanwhile, the new fan jackson bought me sort of for my birthday is working out well enough keeping the laptop cool so it isn't shutting down but the laptop is still buggy... like the phone, i think it is just getting old... planned obsolescence, the american way (copied by the japanese and every other culture)...
