softball in dc

ummmm, ok, so i just realized that i sent my all pouty and grumping message to the guy who forgot to tell me the tournament was cancelled instead of jackson... ooops... what an introduction... i mean, he deserves a kick, but hopefully he invites me to the next softball thing they do... yeah, right, well... i could have sworn i chose jackson from the messages list... must have been seriously bummed at the time, huh?...

ok, so on the happier, though still not exactly wisdom-based news... i am almost completely fully decided to commit to going to the softball world series with the sunday morning team the last week of august even though the expense is not wise and if a job happened to come along between now and then, asking for a week off might be challenging and i wouldn't want to lose a potentially good job (or the money that would not be refunded from the trip)... but i deserve the fun too... and it's not every year one of my teams qualifies for it's league's world series, after all... even though i play in like a half dozen leagues, this is the only one that actually has a world series... i love this league because it is the most organized (and least expensive by far) league in town... and the people are fun... it is the nagaaa (whatever that stands for, i always forget... it's the national gay alliance... yes, gay, don't be homophobic... and no, they don't make me wear tight skimpy outfits... if you are not laughing, you really need to loosen up)...

i have to wait until sunday to find out if i have car-sharer to decide if i will rent the car... i really prefer driving and having transportation (yes, even in downtown washington, dc... the fields are all over the suburbs in maryland and virginia up to 45 minutes away without traffic, but the marriott downtown has the package the league chose for the parties and events that are non-softball)... anyway, hopefully i will find the same deals sunday ($10 round trip with my southwest points, $243 for a full size car for the week... that's $60 a piece divided by four)... now i can get a little excited instead of being bummed all day, aye?...
