though throughout this life i have slept less than the recommended eight hours per twenty-four dosage and for many years of this life i slept less than four hours per twenty-four on average and for more than half of this life i routinely skipped sleep a few times a week, i am finding that as the decades pass, sleep becomes a more necessary aspect of the life experience because the mental acuity, release of positive hormones, physical demeanor, and overall energy much more noticeably diminishes when i extend sleepless periods or when i do not sleep more than i used to... four hour cycles are still my sleep pattern and still refreshing, but two continuous four hours patterns have a much more profoundly restful and regenerative effect than one and the difference was never as pronounced as it has been in the last year or few... in recent months i am noticing it even more, which leads to my mentioning it here... in fact, i added this paragraph to this entry after waking on my own from a solid eight hours of sleep that began just after the next two lines...
yes, falling out, eyes closing, fading from consciousness, and letting go... no resistance beyond completing these words...
