continuing the theme

ah, yes, so much out there stuff floating around my mind tonight... cuz i am looking out there through the tv and news and magazines and so on... humans are so afraid of everything they can not control they want to control everything (such a pathetically insecure and paranoid species, really) and even those who have practically everything most people think they want, happiness eludes them and they create their own drama and trauma and yes, first world problems... the news media shows, reality tv, drama and comedies, soap operas, everything humans seem to create (even most sci-fi, though there are sometimes alternative perspectives in sci-fi which is why i seek such genres and minds) is the same old story - the grass is always greener somewhere else and we must own it or destroy it or else... as if it is a biological imperative...

for instance, turning on espn for a few moments provides more of the same... so dwight howard can't decide who is going to spoil him next (and when things don't go his way he can claim injury, that's the american ego i guess)... and the remake of lebron james from arrogant spoiled brat to superman because he was crowned king by the nba elite continues even as the game of basketball deteriorates into a worldwide wrestling federation style scripted melodrama... and as with television soap operas, reality tv shows, and most other tv, i'm slowly losing interest in the world out there...
