ok, so jackson showed me her the weather channel app and i liked the statistics and the fact that the weather was handy like at her fingertips so i explored weather app reviews on tech sites and found the most frequently highest rated app was weatherbug with accuweather and the weather channel close behind... the drawback on the weatherbug app is it is a resource hog, which may be a problem on this htc inspire phone because it's weakness is battery life... but since i charge daily anyway, i will install the weatherbug and see how it gets along with the inspire's battery...
and the weatherbug app is great so far... it has all the bells and whistles any other weather app has and also has something called spark, a feature that gives lightning warning on several levels which will be extremely handy when storms are in the area while we are playing softball (not to mention the safety factor anytime, since florida is the lightning capital of the world)... and it has storm warnings and severe weather warnings and all the rest (flood, hurricane, tornado, high wind, everything there is to know about the weather... the write-up says it draws weather information from more sources than any other weather app)...
yes, i am gonna enjoy using this new toy...
