downloading email

so i've been sitting here downloading emails for an hour now and it seems the email program will download only part of the new emails from the primary email account because there are too many and the server will hang and disconnect is too many are downloaded at once... while this makes good sense, i am wondering how the setting to download only part of the new mails came to be as i don't recall setting any settings to do that... the annoying part is that i must click every few minutes to download the next batch of emails... i am looking for one particular email jackson forwarded to me about a job opening and it has been an hour so far and it has not downloaded yet... this is why i hate email...

if i abandon my long time primary email address, all the contacts that might reach me through that address would not reach me and when unemployed, it is foolish to cut off any avenue of communication... however the volumn of junk mail almost guarantees i will miss an obscure reference email from an unknown source who just happens to find my resume online...

ok, found the email... it;s been two hours... so much for heading out for that jog... the forces of human culture are working against healthiness, alas... so i am updating my resume and cover letter and sending it out... what?...

i must be mad lol lam groan :)
