yes, didn't even keep score of the second game... the hitters were good and almost took my head off a couple of times... the trouble with this tournament is that the teams are very different, some semi-pro players on some teams can smack the ball up to 100+ miles per hour using harder balls and modified bats not allowed under ASA softball rules... it's dangerous for recreational level player like me and jackson and most of our team... luckily i didn't get hurt, but it was close...
anyway, the tournament is over... don't know who exactly benefited from the benefit tournament, but they collected lots of toys and $18 per player, so they made a lot of money besides the toys... kind of loosely organized... and the umpires i knew kept a low profile because the rules were so loose... lots of macho arguing and even some threats of fights, definitely not the fun we were looking for...
going home for food and smiles now :)
