will you let me get to know you?... we can start on the surface, like what's your favorite movie and what kind of music do you like best?... it's a place to start... favorite movies are tough to narrow down to one, but princess bride, v for vendetta, it's a wonderful life, and mary poppins come to mind and any one of these are favorites too...
slipping this entry in after the next was uploaded might diminish the audience, but i am just looking for some saying yes to the title, so let's continue anyway...
music, sheesh, harry chapin is number one overall... a singer-songwriter with a meaningful story to tell, a man who lived to try to make the world a better place, harry is my number one musician... john lennon is probably next, but the list can be interchangeable after that like the movies... moody blues comes to mind... billy joel and elton john... top ten songs would include one by each of then and one by the carpenters, garth brooks, the who, cat stevens, led zeppelin, metallica, and several songs from broadway shows... my favorite genre is the story song, emotional ballad or rocker... i love to sing as well and it is easier to sing the favorite show tunes as the body ages...
music is my life, it is not my livelihood and there are so many facets of my music loves i've left out, but this is a very good place to start (as the sound of music suggests, but let's not forget the haunting music of the night either... honesty is all i really need, though i want to believe that i need to be in love and nothing else matters as i am shameless willing to do anything to make you feel my love and yet, rivers belong where they can ramble so i'll go it alone if that's how it must be even as dreams of romance race the innocent optimism to the dearest spots in my heart and the heartbreak song has it's revered place too... lyrical references are always flowing through my literary landscape as i imagine that i am not the only one who dreams the impossible dream...
