job searching and football

so anyway, i made the mistake of not paying attention to the channel the tv was on and found myself innundated with background political rhetoric for a bit and as you may have heard, i am so sick of politics, but luckily i change the channel and have football on in the background now... i am hoping to win both fantasy football games today and the predictions are that i will as i play one team with a 1-7 record and another with a 3-5 record, though predictions are sometimes very wrong...

meanwhile, i had a response on the linkedin website that took me one step closer to the head of the department at a local hospital that has a job posted that i should qualify for and hopefully my approaching her via linkedin will be seen as initiative and not pushiness and i can sell myself as i have for years into a position that is typically above the credentials preferred these days cuz i have more experience and can do a better job than those younger who went to school a lot longer because that is what is expected these days... when i started out, my credentials were more than enough and even today, my credentials are enough to meet requirements, so hope stays alive...

if post-graduate degrees were not so expensive ($300-$400 a credit in my fields), i would get one, but i don't happen to have an extra $30,000 or more laying around... besides, i prefer to work for people who understand that experience and education via experience is worth so much more than theoretical classroom education...

work done for today, fingers crossed, and now to relax, play with happiness, watch some football, and wait for game time for our softball league...

please make your day productive, rewarding, hopeful, and fun too :)
