i found this branch of wikipedia called rational wiki as i was exploring the first people entry earlier and i even got a welcome from this guy which lets me know the site is monitored regularly... i use wikipedia as a reference a few times a month, at least, and should donate to the cause, but that's another story... there are those who disagree on that website and others as well, but mostly it's semantics like claiming hitler's holacaust was overblown (no one wants to accept cruelty done in their name or by their ancestors or that they benefited from cruelty, after all) or in this case, excusing the complete domination, mass killing, and practical destruction of hundreds of cultures because disease played a big role without noting that if disease didn't the killing would have continued anyway (also leaving out the fact that people used the disease to do the dirty work of wiping out the people... as if the white man's intent was not to take everything the red man had) but all this is another story as well...
what i meant to say is that rationalwiki has a new user, for what it's worth...
