the insensitivity and apparent inability (or simple unwillingness) to understand different cultures is quite amazing to me... and it is even more amazing (and sad) to see the lack of true understanding (or caring about) how the history of abuse done by white europeans over the millennia has separated different cultures so far that understanding is a challenge even for those not in denial of true history and responsibility... but the way guilt is such an integral part of the delusions western religions teach and the way denial of truth and logic and reality is an essential aspect of western culture, it is not surprising even as it is so sad and amazing to observe... what will it take to nudge the human mind past the fears and delusions into a peaceful, loving, enlightened understanding?... alas, hopefully it will not require violence again... though we did survive and learn a lot from the 1960's, it was a scary time at times...
heck, there are plenty of people so burdened by guilt and shame and so in denial that they'd attack me for even suggesting they are in denial and writing what i wrote above... alas, i wish i had more friends, especially local friends, who were not so immersed in the human delusions and divisions and who really understood what i relate in this entry... and i wish i had the means to buy a big house where we all could live...
wouldn't it be nice? :)
