the ridiculousness of statistics

well, it's official... the run tracking apps do not provide accurate statistics for distance and anything dependent on distance (which is most of the stats)... i can compare lap times and total times for each walk/run, but the distance fluctuates way too much... just from memory i recall 3.18 through 3.67 miles for the same six laps... the pace and weather seem to alter the gps readings and therein give false distances... but at least i might be sort of confident that i am doing a full 5K? (there's always hope)... you can find more in body thoughts and in this app comparison entry...

so i am sticking with the one already in use... i forgot to drink water today (how do you forget to drink water?... you ask)... well, i just forgot... that could have been not so good for the kidneys and still might be not so good for the kidneys but we shall hope for the best and i guzzled a liter of water after cooling down and will drink another liter soon and another later and another before sleep... sure, i'll wake up after a 4 hour sleep cycle to empty my bladder, but must not neglect the kidneys after all...

the phone, htc inspire, used quite a bit of battery during this test and keeping the apps open to read and record the data... the new weather app likely played a role in the battery usage...
