wow, as if i suddenly became prophetic the computer somehow died and did not even save the session... as in i know, save! save! save!... so i am almost absolutely certain that i did save! save! save! just before leaving for the parties but this latest complete shut down simply emphasizes this renewed mantra (save! save! save!... and i am not referring to Lord Stanley's Cup either)... i just lifted the lid and found the computer off... completely off... as in shut down... and i pressed the power button thinking it was somehow unplugged and windows did it's save the session thing and instead found the "do you want safe mode?" blue screen cuz the computer shut down so suddenly and incorrectly that windows didn't even have time to save the session... and why not, i mean, it should have saved the session when i closed the cover and it went into sleep mode... very puzzling... disconcerting, too...
i am starting to like this computer less and less lately... i mean, windows vista is bad enough... and windows mail and the spam just make it worse... but this recent crash and burn since since i've been tapping into this notepad (is that a clue to why it is happening?... doesn't make sense, especially not when i am saving and not letting lots of words build up in temporary memory)... there are 79 GB free on a 320 GB hard drive... could that be it?... i have not defragged in ages because it takes so long and nothing changes after i do... so what gives, dear computer experts out there in cyberland?... feel free to do a complete check-up of this laptop at your leisure... before i ask for an autopsy, that is...
