for the love of onions

and mushrooms, but what we humans go through for the love of onions (or at least what i go through) is painfully funny... emphasis on the painful... i am typing with my eyes mostly closed at the moment because they are burning and tearing and dripping (along with my nose) because i just chopped up a bag full of onions... and even though it does not take me long, the mist has me in tears... great way to clear the sinuses though... anyway, a big bag of juicy sweet vadalia onions were cut into chunks and they are now being caramelized slowly over a low heat and the mushrooms are next... and the scent already has me salivating (the head sure is producing a lot of fluids, huh?... better drink some water befor i dehydrate (nyuk nyuk)...

meanwhile, the rains brought a sudden change in temperatures, not that the humidity allows anyone to notice it much (feels warmer outside now than it did before the rains what with the steam coming up from the pavement and asphalt on the roads and driveways and parking lots that make up at least as much of the area as the lawns and retention ponds and ultra mini-forests (lots between the small apartment and home communities) do... the temps went from 86 to 78 according to the government weather site and the humidity rose from 61% to 79% in the same two hour period... s'ok, it was 78 degrees and 97% humidity at 8am when i might have gone out for a speed walk if i wasn't sleeping so soundly on the couch... my weather apps are in conflict, one saying it is 77 degrees and the other saying it is 72 degrees... though the apps are reporting on my community area which is about 25 miles away and mostly south and the cold front (if we can call 70 degrees a cold front) came from the north and outside right where i am the humidity feels higher...

anyway, cooking and uploading and doggie care, that's the afternoon plan here... what's going on in your world?...
